He was predeceased by: his brothers, Thomas and Joseph Barr; his parents, James Barr and Alfreda Barr; and his wife Margaret "Margie" Barr.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret A. Ciavardone (Richard), Patricia M. Eckert (Eric), Gerald S. Barr (Shirley), John M. Barr (Joan), Julia M. Love (Christopher) and Stephen J. Barr (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Joseph, Richard, Stephanie, Julia, Jed, Wyatt, Dawson, Steven, Tyler, Ryan, Douglas, Emily and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Sophie and Lyra; and his sisters-in-law, Joannie and Lorretta Barr.
Viewing was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anselm Catholic Church (12670 Dunks Ferry Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020).
