She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Shapley; her son Frederick Shapley (Kathy); and her siblings, Marie Seigfried (late Jack), Joan Schoenherr and Robert Paxson (Rose Marie "Sissy").

She is survived by: her children, Irene McDevitt (Edward), Brian Shapley, Colleen Lynch (Peter), Bruce Shapley (Susan Walsh) and Danielle Shapley; her grandchildren, Maria McDevitt, Eddie McDevitt, Meghin McDevitt, Jennifer Shapley, Kyle Lynch, Kaylee Lynch, Bruce Horton, Maria Shapley and Marisa Shapley; her great grandchildren, Violet McDevitt, Everleigh McDevitt, Isabel McDevitt and Little Brucie Horton; and her siblings, Annamae Walton (Howard) and John Paxson (Diane). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
