James J. Savage Sr. Obituary
In loving memory of James J. Savage Sr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on October 31, 2025 at the age of 93. James J. leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Savage and Susan Savage (Carr); his siblings, Ellen'Ella'Braun, Mary Burns, Catherine Savage, Dolores Miller, Rita Borski, Teresa'Nancy'Cleary, John'Bud' and Joseph; and his sisters-in-law, Emily (Szwajkowski) and Eleanor (Tozzi).
He is survived by: his sons, James and Raymond; and his grandchildren, Daryn, Logan, Paige, Ryan, Cormac and Brighid. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home (10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
