With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Gentile-Taylor of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on August 4, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Ammer and Thomas Ammer; her son David Gentile; her husband Vincent Gentile; and her brother Thomas Ammer.
She is survived by: her daughter Caroline Gentile; her son-in-law Peter Herrigel; and her grandchildren, Josh, Owen and Lily Herrigel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Philadelphia Orchestra or the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.
