He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Vearling. He is survived by: his mother Jacqueline Vearling; his girlfriend Lori Giancaterino; his children, Jackie, Meg, Samantha, Jessica and Jonathan; his siblings, Joe, Audrey (Bill) and Bobby; and his siblings' children, Olivia, Kyle, Ethan and Carson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
