She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Howard Brown III (Halina); her brothers, Jerry Davi (Josephine) and Fred Davi (late Vilma); her grandson Howard "Howie" Brown IV (Jaclyn); and her great grandchildren, Luke and Grace.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Josephine's name may be made to St. Joseph's Preparatory School, 1733 West Girard Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19130.
