She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Malizzzia and Catherine Malizzzia; her husband Barry Ignatovic; and her sister Jeane Calabrese (John). She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Dunleavy (Glen); her grandchildren, Joseph Ignatovic (Kristie) and Mary Dunleavy (Wilson); and her brother Joseph Malizzia (Lois). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers and neighbors.
Josephine was a lover of animals and always donated to the animal shelters.
