It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurine Spivey-Ferguson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Roy Sinclair; her husband Tyrone Ferguson; her mothers-in-law, Gladys Preston and Dolores Ferguson; her uncle Sgt. Solomon Johnson, Sr.; her sister Ruth Lesane; her sister-in-law Bettye Ferguson; her stepson Tyrone H. Ferguson, Jr.; and her son-in-law Dr. Anthony J. Mooring.
She is survived by: her mother Rose Robinson; her sister Barbara Robinson; her children, Aaron Spivey (Marla) and Dr. Tazzarae Spivey-Mooring; her stepdaughter Sheila Ferguson-Jackson (Clayton); her grandchildren, Joshua, Joel, Amaiya, Avianna, Edward, Anastasia, Kaision, Isis, Isaiah, Hezekiah, Camille, Zariah, Baseemah, Tyrone III and Tamira; her siblings-in-law, Charles Preston (Doris), Gary A. Ferguson, Arsena Spivey, Cherie Ashcroft, June Preston, Mary Forehand, Joanne Green, Cheryl E. Ferguson (Charles), Hope Palmer (Michael) and Gaynell Ferguson; and her friends, Toshay Greene and Danielle Gentle. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
