She is survived by: her parents, Hipolinario Mattos Rodriguez and Nicolasa Maldonado Pinero; her children, Emmy Méndez, Nayda Méndez, Cruz Méndez and Shayra Torrres; her mother-in-law Edgardo Caraballo; and her siblings, José Luis Mattos, José Manuel Mattos, Ana María Mattos, Beatriz Rodriguez, Pedro Pinero and Angel Mattos. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
