He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ellen Moore (Larry), James Hansberry, Kathleen Kingsley, Michael Hansberry (Patty), Anne Gorman, Marie Theresa Hansberry and Maureen Hansberry; and his siblings' children, Jennifer Flamm (Kevin), Larry Thomas Moore, Katie Baur (Dan), Alina Hansberry, Sarah Gorman, Deanna Hansberry, Max Hansberry, Mike Flamm and Charlotte Flamm.
