She was predeceased by: her husband Roger T.; her son Antonio Gadson; and her brother Jack Thomas Gadson. She is survived by: her children, Vivian Poindexter, Howard Poindexter, Ahalieme Barksdale-Bey and Roger M. Swartz (Venera); her grandchildren, Christopher, Antonio, Teraya, Maxine and Gavin; and her siblings, Annie Louise Brown, Stanley Gadson, Claudette Jones, Joyce Gadson and Amos Gadson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
