He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Smith and Eva Smith (Brown); his wife Joan E. Krupski; his children, Kelly Harpster (Lewis) of Landisville Pennsylvania and Matthew Smith (Stephanie) of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania; his granddaughter Victoria Smith; and his siblings, Wendell Smith, Robert Smith and Margaret Rooney.

In addition to his expertise in these fields, Chester had a broad foundation of seemingly any topic.
