He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. and Ruth McConnell (Todd); his siblings, Martha Mayhak and Charles B. "Ted" McConnell Jr.; and his son-in-law John G. Bollenbacher Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lois A. McConnell; his sister Janice McConnell of West Newton, PA; his sister-in-law Roberta McConnell of Ligonier, PA; his children, Laurie L. Smith (Charles) of Penn Run, PA, Sharon A. Bollenbacher of Murrysville, PA and Robert T. McConnell (Claudia) of Biddeford; his grandchildren, Benjamin Martz (Kelly) of Mercer Island, WA, Patrick Martz of Baltimore, MD, John Bollenbacher of Murrysville, PA, Jeffrey Bollenbacher of Murrysville, PA and Laura Bollenbacher of Murrysville, PA; and his great grandchild Berrit Martz. He is also survived by stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Mr. McConnell's name can be made to the River City Brass Band.
