She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Adolph Lober and Emma Lober; and her siblings, Robert "Bob" Lober, Ralph Lober, George, Ruth, Emma and Edward. She was also cherished by 24 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Alverna requested donations be made to The Red Door Program at St. Mary of Mercy, 202 Stanwix St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
