He is survived by: his former wife Grace; his children, Cynthia Ferguson of Dayton, Derek Henderson and Denise Henderson of Pittsburgh; his stepchildren, Walter "Sonny" Coleman (Kathy) of Spokane, Celeste Garner and Diana Coleman of Pittsburgh; his sister Doris Garretson of Atlanta, Georgia; his close friend Betty Reid of New York, NY; and his grandchildren, Edward Ferguson III (Pamela), Candace Ferguson (Michael), Derek Ferguson (Elizabeth), Damien Shavers (Princess), Jason Shavers, Lonnie, Dean, Walter Coleman, Melissa Perez (Sammy), Che Lipscomb (Kitten) and Nico Coleman. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
