He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Adkins and Spicie Adkins; and his siblings, Clarence, Jr., Billy, Helen, Esther, Mary and Frances.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Jarrell Adkins of Cross Lanes, WV; his children, Tim Adkins of Summerville, SC and Lisa Adkins Bostic (Bob) of South Charleston; his grandchildren, Emily Bostic of South Charleston, WV and Sam Bostic of South Charleston, WV; and his brothers, Hubert Adkins of Barrett, WV and Mike Adkins of New Baltimore, MI..
