He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn L. Thornton (Martin); his parents, Ruth and Bernard Thornton, Sr.; and his sister Mary Ruth Dauk. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Orefice (Thomas), Linda Rafaloski (William) and Diane Crocco (Todd); his grandchildren, Sarah Trevorrow (Stephen), Alexander Orefice, Joshua (Karabeth), Tyler Miller (Christi), Nicholas Rafaloski, Miranda and Morgan Crocco; and his siblings, James Thornton, Geraldine and William Thornton.
