He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Thelma Speicher Wagner. He is survived by: his daughter Donna Backus (William); his grandchildren, Carol Balsamo (Antonino Balsamo) and W. Scott Backus (Dawn); his great grandchildren, Chris Fargotstein, Sean Cloonan, Alec Backus and Brennan Backus; and his sister Marie Dadig. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
