It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmella Patterson (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashy Vitullo and Ralphina Vitullo; her husband Robert M. "Weeze" Patterson; her son George Patterson; and her sister Jane Messina (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, David Patterson (Tracy), Diana McDade, Susan Adams (Jay), Cynthia Patterson and Barbara Johe (Michael); her grandchildren, Gram, Jason Giovannini (Megan), Jessica Meyers (Matthew), Jennifer Seward (Joseph), Julie Adams, David Patterson, Daniel McDade, James Johe, Chelsey Patterson, Nicolas Patterson, Maria McDade and Cassandra Patterson; her brother Anthony Vitullo (Marge); and her pets, Baby and Sylvester. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and also she had endless cousins.
Due to the Covid-19 Crisis funeral services are private.
To best honor Carmella, donations may be made to The Ben Roethlisberger Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting K-9 units of police and fire departments throughout the United States with a particular emphasis on support for service dogs in Pittsburgh, PA.
