He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dr. Henry Olufemi Oke and Martins Olushola Oke; and his parents, Chief Samuel Oluremi Oke and Elizabeth Foluso Oke of Nigeria. He is survived by: his wife Annette Frances Oke; his children, Charles Adebayo Oke, Jr. (Amber Michelle Oke) and Olufemi Sam Oke; his grandchildren, Natalia Rose Oluwafolasademi Oke and Elijah Dale Olumayowa Oke; and his sibling Barrister Lilian Folasade Oke.

Most recently, his work focused on pandemic influenza response and personal protective equipment surveillance.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Friends of Music at Calvary Episcopal Church 315 Shady Avenue PGH, PA 15206.
