She was predeceased by: her parents, Madelyn Platt and Robert Platt; and her spouse Lee Chajson. She is survived by: her brother Joel Platt (Marcia); her children, Ellen Chajson (Mark Perkiss) and Howard Chajson (Gina); and her grandchildren, Robert Chajson (Ally), Evan Perkiss, Madison Chajson (Zachary Davidson), Nicole Chajson and Jacob Chajson.

The family requests that Dotty's memory be honored with charitable contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Jewish Association of Aging.
