He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jane (Burns); and his sisters, Mary Madelyn Castner and Dr. Jeanne Alvin. He is survived by: his sons, Edward III (Lisa) and Christopher (Sharon); his grandchildren, Kristina, Maksim, Isabelle and Jack; and his brother-in-law John Burns. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
