He is survived by: his children, Demitri and Airiana; his parents, June Staple and Edward T. Plata, Sr.; his siblings, Kimberly Plata, Jessica Smida and Cheyenne Heinold; and his close friend Dawn Marie Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
