He was predeceased by: his parent Vincenzo DeRose; and his sibling Marie Vitale. He is survived by: his husband Constance M. "Connie" DeRose (Sgroi); his children, Christina "Tina" Reczek (Frank) and Anita Myers (Sean); his parent Rose DeRose (Formosa); his grandchildren, Erika Kukuruda, Michael Allen, Nicholas Myers and Alexander Myers; his great grandchild Logan Kukuruda; his stepgrandchild Ryan Reczek (Jason); his siblings, John and Carl DeRose; and his sibling-in-law Carl Finney (late Donna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter at 1100 Liberty Ave Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
