He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa M. Sutton and Arthur B. Sutton; and his son Franklin A. Sutton. He is survived by: his wife Frances Sutton; his daughter Rebecca Kyle; his son-in-law Douglas Kyle; and his grandchildren, Brad Kyle (Erika), Brett Kyle (Senuri) and Jennifer Kyle.
