He was predeceased by: his parents, George, Sr. Briggs and Mildred Briggs; his wife Louise J. Briggs; his child-in-law Sandy Briggs; and his siblings, Sarah, Stella and William.
He is survived by: his sons, George N. Briggs, III (late Jan), Gerald and Gary Briggs (Jackie); his grandchildren, Corey Briggs (Jen), Justin Briggs (Hayley), Brad Briggs (Morgan), Curtis Briggs, Kimberly McIntosh (Scott), Traci Briggs and Brian Briggs (Heather); his great grandchildren, Emily Briggs, Macie Briggs, Theo Briggs, Kayleigh Briggs, Hannah, Rebecca, Sarah McIntosh and Isla; and his sister Grace Lawther. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
