He was predeceased by: his parent Albert "Kirk"; and his sibling A. J.. He is survived by: his spouse Joyce Kurzawski (Uhernik); his child Gerard J. Kurzawski Jr. (Ann); his stepchild Philip Swaney; his parent Florence Kurzawski; and his siblings, Paul (Helen), Donald (Karen), Kenny, Charles Kurzawski (Patricia), Roberta Pistelli (Frank), Barbara Ripley (Rich), Audrey Lewandowski, Darlene Alex (Charles), William and Mary Lou Kurzawski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
