He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert E. Cowan Sr. and Mattie Bell Williamson Cowan. He is survived by: his significant other Gale Allen; his sons, Douglas Allen of Pittsburgh, PA and Trent Allen of Columbus, OH.; and his brother James A. Cowan of Clairton, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
