She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Clancy and Julia Clancy; her husband Paul H. Thornton, Jr.; her son Michael P. Thornton; and her grandson Sean Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Karen I. Thornton (Lars Wallis), Joseph P. Thornton (Jeanine) and Daniel E. Thornton (Susan); and her siblings, Eileen Dodson, Shirley Ostrum (Mary Ann O'Malley), Patrick Clancy and Margaret "Peggy" Thornton (Thomas Clancy). She is also survived by grandchildren and one great-grandson.
