He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eric Franzen and Hulda Franzen; his wife Barbara Carver; his children, Elizabeth Franzen, Nathan Franzen (Mary), Ruth Rust (Ned), Abigail Franzen-Sheehan (Andrew) and Sarah Franzen; and his grandchildren, Lucia Byron, Bartholomew Rust, Anneka Rust, Eamon Sheehan and Emmet Sheehan.
