He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Prior and Margaret Jones (Boll); his brother Frederick E. Jones (late Georgia); and his nephew Robert. He is survived by: his wife Amy Jones (Amelia Gasior); his children, Deborah Lynn Jones, James Jones and Brian Jones (Tricia); his grandchildren, Lindsey and Brett Jones; his sister Kathleen Conley (Tom); and his pet Larry Mackins (Kathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
