He was predeceased by: his son James Joseph Caldwell, IV; his parents, James Joseph Caldwell, Jr. and Beverly J. Caldwell; and his sibling's child Darrick Maad. He is survived by: his daughter Tiffany of Haley, J. P.; his siblings, Kevin, Colleen (Maad), Keith and Curt Miller; and his niece Cassie. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
