He was predeceased by: his parents, William Landman and Annabelle Landman (Freeman); his wife Angela Battista Landman; and his siblings, William, Russell, Walter "Buddy", Robert, Annabelle, Helen and Carole.

He is survived by: his sons, James Landman (Jesse) and Kenneth Landman (Dawn); his grandchildren, Kenneth Landman (Courtney), Ashley Van (Bastian) of Loo and Robinson Twp; his stepgrandchildren, Peter Mudar, III (Caitlin) of Plum Borough, Matthew Mudar of Plum Borough, Kaylee Mudar of Plum Borough, Jaxson Landman and Julian Van of Loo; and his sister Sarah "Sally" Hewitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Cherry City Fire Department in memory of James Landman.
