He was predeceased by: his spouse LaVerne H. Holmes Oehling; and his son James F.. He is survived by: his children, Karen L. Nosseck (Bill Johns) and Michael J. Oehling; his child-in-law Liza Oehling; his siblings, Betty Scahill and Richard "Rich" Oehling (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Michelle Reiner, Heather Hilpert, John Crum, Edward, Jason and Michael J. Oehling Jr.. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
