He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Neubert Alster. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia (Sheldon), Sally (Gary) and James (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Thomas, Molly, Curtis, Jennifer, Melissa and Michael; and his great-nephew Michael.
