It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Susan Chelemer (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 10, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Chelemer; and her brother Charles G. Hirsh. She is survived by: her sons, Marc, Scott and Bruce Chelemer; her grandchildren, Joshua, Elizabeth Nakagawa, Micaela Brody, Samuel, Ben, Daniel, Philip and David Chelemer; her sister-in-law Elissa Hirsh; and her nieces, Erin and Amanda Hirsh. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to The American Civil Liberties Union, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, or The National Audubon Society.
