He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Roy and Florence M. Baker; his former wife Ethel Jane Baker; and his siblings, Jacob Roy, Jr., Gerald, Ralph and Emily Joan Emciso.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Chobanian-Baker; his son John L. Baker, Jr.; his grandson Wyatt Weaver; his stepson Anthony Chobanian (Sue); his stepgrandson Michael Chobania (Elysia); his great grandchildren, Brennan and Isla Claire Chobanian; his brothers, James Baker (Elenor) and Rodney Baker; and his sister-in-law Thelma. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
