He was predeceased by: his wife Kristina L. Nemmer (Sniadach); his daughter Christine Nemmer; and his sister Barbara Nemmer. He is survived by: his children, John A. (Kathleen) and Susan; his grandchildren, Julian, Evelyn, James, Andre, Isaiah, Ciara and Riley; his sister Kathleen; Patricia Nemmer.
