She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Gene Gruver; her children, Candice Kail of New York City and John Gruver of Pittsburgh; her grandchildren, Camille of New York City, Allyson, Andrue, Evan, Gwen and Alexandra of Pittsburgh; her parents, Bill Speer and Sally Speer; and her siblings, Sally Goodgion of Seattle, WA, Linda Edgerton of Seattle, WA and John Speer of Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her honor to First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh or to the Children's Home of Pittsburgh.
