She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Kost and Mary Kost (Barna) of Woods Run; her husband Michael Sahayda; her siblings, Michael, John Kost, Ella Parks, Dorothy Hanasik, Helen Metz Petrancosta and Ann Tovcimak; her son-in-law James T. Smith; and her granddaughter Kathleen Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Marlene "Mimi" Smith and Michael "Jamie" Sahayda (Linda); and her grandchildren, Michael J. Smith, Nova Marie Smith, Matthew Sahayda and Cynthia Cancilla. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 where Mary was cared for by all the staff with an abundance of love and compassion.
