It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes Jenkins (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 27, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert, Sr.; her daughter Mercedes; and her grandchild Thomas Jenkins. She is survived by: her children, Robert, Jr. (Georgann), Edward, Thomas, Margaret "Maggie" Speck (George), David (Michelle), Ruth "Buffy" and Joseph; her grandchildren, Carrie Akella (Vishnu), Darcy, Andrew, Jeffrey (Kris), Daniel, Joshua (Nicole), Martin Speck (Julia), Jessica Longenecker (Robert), Russell Faust, David, Jr., James, Danielle Pittas, Sarah and Richard Speck; and her great grandchildren, Dulcy, Rowan, Cedyth, Logan Longenecker, Charlie Jenkins, Ava Akella, Devlin, Donte and Dani Lynn Pomerico. She is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews, family and friends.
