He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Brenner and Bernice Hecker Brenner. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Chapuk Brenner; his sisters, Sandy Hill (Roger) and Alice Kruse (Lou); and his uncle Fred Hecker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mid-Atlantic English Springer Spaniel Rescue (MAESSR) www: maessr.org, a nonprofit organization that rescues English Springer Spaniels, a breed that was very dear to Michael's heart having owned 4 English Springers over his life span.
