He is survived by: his children, Michael DeRosa IV, Darryl DeRosa and Angela Lees; and his sibling Clema Damian. He is also survived by two nephews and two nieces.

Peacefully on April 20, 2020, Michael, age 85, succumbed to the complications from COVID 19 virus.
