He is survived by: his wife Laura Hughes DeMoss; his stepson Chris Hughes; his mother Patricia Joy; his sister Melissa Murphy; his niece Amanda Hartsock (John); his father Gene DeMoss; and his stepbrother Jeffrey Joy.
