She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Frank Swisshelm and Margaret Swisshelm; her daughters, Diane Stevens, Karen Ramsey (George), Laurie Kerchner (David) and Eileen Sharbaugh (David); her goddaughter Jennifer Jackson; her siblings, Bill Swisshelm, David Swisshelm, Cheryl Andreus (Swisshelm), Cynthia Eagan (Swisshelm) and Richard Swisshelm; her husband Walter Clifford Stevens; and her sister Barbara Riling (Swisshelm).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to: Trinity Tower United Methodist Church to be directed to the general church fund, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), or Lincoln Park Food Bank.
