She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Walter Rau; her stepdaughters, Linda Black (Ralph) and Barbara Welka; her grandchildren, Ralph Black, Shelly Black and Adam Thomas; her niece Emma Jean Kraus; and her brother-in-law Fred Rau. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
