He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann DeMarco Welsh; his daughter Carol Schauer; his parents, Robert Welsh and Stella Sutton Welsh; and his grandson Carl Anthony Rakers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stella Bauerle (Anthony), Mary Rakers (Carl) and Judy Jones (Ed); his sisters, Alice Hale (Al) and Rosalia Jungurs (late Bill); and his grandchildren, Michael Bauerle, Mark Bauerle, Allen Rakers (Nicole) and Anna Rakers (Sam Bickford).
