He is survived by: his wife Roberta (Fisher); his children, David Brehl (Vikki), Diane Johnstone and Donna Goss (Glenn); his grandchildren, Maria (Ryan), Chuck (Amanda), David (Elizabeth), Glenn (Abbie), Gina (Mark), Ashley (Matt) and Maura (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Paige, Troy, Olivia, Maddie, Miles, Charlie, Chase, Owen and Turner.

Memorial donations can be made in Richard's name to Voices for the Unborn 114 N Highland Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15206 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
