He was predeceased by: his spouse Syrietta "Skippy" Kalla; and his siblings, Joseph Kalla, Irene Goldberg (late Isadore), Esther Schectar, Irwin (late Phyllis) and Milton Kalla.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Kalla (Judy), Lynn Donovan (Jimm), David Kalla (Barbara) and Rabbi Jack Kalla (Stacey); and his brother Dr. Richard Kalla (Alice). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
