He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johnson and Audrey Johnson; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his wife Tracey; his sons, Samuel and Adam; his brothers, John (Patti Littman) and Michael Thomas (Carrie); his sister-in-law Ruth; and his nephews, John, Douglas, Benjamin, Jacob and Christopher.
The family requests no flowers, and in lieu of flowers, if desired, contributions be made to the First Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church Benevolence Fund (531 N Neville St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213), which provides emergency funds to people in need.
